BLKPRENEURSHIP is the premier resource network for aspiring Black Entrepreneurs who desire additional knowledge and information about their particular industry. Birthed in 2020, BLKPRENEURSHIP endeavors to create additional opportunities for Black Entrepreneurship visibility through print, broadcast, and messaging media platforms. The purpose and responsibility of the BLKPRENEURSHIP platform is to uplift, inspire, promote, and congregate in a fashion where we all prosper through the power of shared knowledge.

GOALS AND ASPIRATIONS

The goals and aspirations of BLKPRENEURSHIP remain clear and concise for the Black Business Owner. These goals and aspirations are centered on providing Black Entrepreneurs with the tools and resources necessary to create sustainable wealth for their business venture. BLKPRENEURSHIP prioritizes networking. We value it. Networking is how we begin our day and how we end it. BLKPRENEURSHIP places such a great emphasis on networking because we understand the importance of networking and the competitive advantage it creates.

ONLINE PRESENCE

BLKPRENEURSHIP social online presence provides Black Entrepreneurs, both locally and nationally, a platform to bring exposure to their business through interactive engagement. In addition, our social online presence seeks to spotlight topics of interest in multiple areas including but not limited to business, lifestyle, and money among others. Our aim is simple. Aspire to inspire the next generation of Black Business Owners to achieve greatness.

DIGITAL MAGAZINE

The BLKPRENEURSHIP magazine has been created for the Black Entrepreneur. Inside of each issue, you will find uplifting articles of Black Business Owners who have endured many trials and tribulations to reach the point of success. Authenticity and transparency is key. BLKPRENEURSHIP desire is to provide articles that engage our consumer base with relatable content focusing on Black Business Owners from different demographical backgrounds.

JEFF LEESEMAN

FOUNDER PRESIDENT

Jeff Leeseman, B.S.

Originally from Harvey, La., Jeff began watching his Dad, the late James W. Leeseman, operate his business as a self employed welder. Desiring to one day become an entrepreneur, he attended Delgado Community College for 1 year before accepting a job in the oil field and working 18 years in the industry. Before retiring from the oilfield in January 2015, he decided to complete his undergraduate degree by returning to school. He received an Associate of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix before transferring to Northwestern State University.

In December 2014, he received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University while developing a passion for writing. In 2020, he founded and launched blkpreneurship online as a result of the many issues small Black Businesses faced in his community. His aspirations has always been to inspire the next generation of Black Business owners by providing a platform where the story of the Black Entrepreneur can be accessed.

Shanedra Smith

Originally born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Shanedra moved to Texas when she was around nine years old. Always fascinated with books and words, she began to immerse herself in stories; true and made up, in hopes that one day she could create her own stories for people to read and enjoy.

Throughout her life and leading to adulthood, Shanedra has prioritized stories and writing, and lights up at the mention of being able to tell someone’s story, fiction, or non-fiction. This was her reasoning for joining BLKPRENEURSHIP in March 2021 as an intern, as she longed to grow her writing and communication skills. She is currently in school at University of Houston-Downtown for Communications with a lean toward
